Christmas Generosity Foodbank

River Network linked with Sainsbury’s and M&S to feed the county this Christmas! Sainsbury’s are supporting the local innovative foodbank and also deliver.

We are a bit like a Christmas turkey Uber Eats for the marginalized, especially at Christmas. We have also just opened another local food store and distribution service.

Terry Eckersley, CEO

We are really happy to have partnered with River Network to help feed the local families who need our support at Christmas and I know all of our colleagues are also very excited.

John Bailey, Store Manager

Linking with Sainsbury’s has helped us provide welcoming support to local communities. Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Derbyshire has written to River Network, thanking us for the support of the foodbank and our unique delivery service during the crisis last year.

I’m really happy to have partnered with such an amazing company. I love the philanthropic foundations of the company and it’s a great strategic fit. We are looking forward to serving the county with their support

Terry Eckersley, CEO

River Network now has a growing team of over 65 staff and a lot of volunteers on teams spanning across Derbyshire, Derby, Matlock, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Ashbourne, Glossop and Buxton.

I just love helping people. We did a Christmas party for over 25 kids at Hurst Farm with food, drinks, fun and games. Everyone took home a turkey for the family.
