NEW Free Community Coffee Mornings

We are pleased to confirm that we are looking to pioneer new free community coffee mornings across Derbyshire in May with free coffee for attendees.

Drop-in Coffee Mornings take place every Wednesday at 11am in the following locations:

As restrictions have lifted it is so important for communities to start moving and thriving again. So many are still locked down and restricted mentally and we can do something about it. Many people feel lonely and isolated and community coffee mornings will help bring community and cohesion. We can then seek to build more with the community.

We have been building teams and visions and getting people involved with development, training and qualifications – many getting higher distinctions.

We have also been engaging with the community with good old-fashioned coffee mornings. Involvement and empowerment is what community wants and needs, and we are delivering.

I am really pleased to be a part of this project and am looking forward to seeing the final results and building community relationships.

I am absolutely delighted that River Network have employed Kickstart jobs in Matlock and Chesterfield. We cannot allow young people to be left behind as a result of the pandemic and schemes like this will be vital for creating jobs and giving young people the skills to access them.
I’m delighted that the Government is putting young people at the heart of its plans to build back stronger after the pandemic and I am so glad to see businesses in Derbyshire Dales taking part. Well done River Network!
